ABOUT SEMI-PERMANENT LASH EXTENSIONS

Give a longer, thicker and natural look to our eyelashes.
Professional product made of a soft and naturally curved synthetic material designed to bond to human eyelashes. The bond dries soft and causes no damage to the natural eyelash.
Process takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Lash extensions are individual and nothing like the traditional false lashes which are produced in clumps or a strip and are short lasting.  Extensions do not touch the skin or affect the growth of the natural lashes and they are weightless.  They can last up to 2 months depending on the life cycle of the client’s natural lash and how they are looked after.

Do not confuse them with Cluster/Flare False lashes.  Using a toughened glue, many of your own individual lashes will have an individual strand glued to each.

Natural lashes grow out on a continuous cycle of about 90 days, as the natural lash sheds it takes the extensions with it.  Some extensions will shed sooner than others, due to this natural cycle. Thus multiple extensions may be lost on any given day - this is the natural shedding process.

Therefore to maintain the thickness and for optimum results it is recommended you have infills/maintenance every 3-4 weeks.  Or you can allow for them to all fall out and have a new fresh set of extensions applied each time. You must have at least 50% of your extensions left on otherwise you will be charged for a full set on your visit.

PREPARATION

Do not have your natural lashes permed for 6 weeks prior to appointment and do not perm them after. Lashes must be clean and free of mascara and make up.  Remove all traces of make-up from the eye with an oil free make-up remover, especially mascara, then rinse with lots of clean water.  Spend extra time washing your lashes the night before.   If they are not squeaky clean, there will be a barrier between the adhesive and your lashes and your extensions will drop off.

AFTERCARE

  • Avoid contact where possible with prolonged heat, as this can weaker the adhesive bond
  • Do not get lashes wet.  Avoid hot water, swimming and steam for 24 – 48 hours to allow the glue to cure (the longer the better)
(If you have a shower, wash your face and avoid water on the lashes)
  • Do not use waterproof mascara, normal mascara can be used but may well reduce the life of your lashes)
  • Do not used use a lash wand or brush your extensions (use a toothpick after a shower)
  • Do not use lash curlers or perm lashes
  • Use an oil-free eye make-up remover and products around the eye
  • Try not to fiddle with, pull or rub the lashes.  You may lose your extension and natural lash
  • If these lashes are not lost naturally, they will need to be professionally removed
  • Do not remove lashes by pulling them, you will lose your natural lashes! These have to be professionally removed by dissolving the adhesive
  • Any adverse reaction, despite patch test carried out, seek medical advice.

ABOUT CLUSTER/FLARE LASHES Lashes

Depending on the natural shedding cycle of your lashes and how well you look after them, they can last up to
2 weeks.  OR if only required for a special occasion or single night out latex glue can be used so that you can easily remove them yourself next morning or after the event.

They are glued into place using eyelash adhesive.  Several single strands joined together make up an Individual Cluster or Flare lash.  Along the lash line a number of these clusters are glued with the natural lashes.

For 2 week lasting lashes these need to be removed properly using a solution that dissolves the adhesive. They can be curled and mascara applied but this can REDUCE the life of the false lashes.  Special occasion or single night out cluster lashes are self-removable.
