I work sometimes with friends or colleagues covering different genres. This is because I meet clients who may benefit from therapies and services that will promote comfort, peace of mind and wellbeing. They come highly recommended by me otherwise I wouldn’t be doing so.
All totally private and confidential.
My guests at the moment are:
Patsy – Counselling and Emotional Support - Patsy Charles
Counselling can be a frightening idea for some. Or something that we do not feel we need, or feel this wouldn’t help us. But it can help us to cope, to look at things in a different light. Or to understand what we are going through and find support in knowing we are not alone in our experiences and feelings. It can provide practical advice to help us move through difficult times.
Patsy is a lovely, very welcoming, understanding qualified counsellor. Sometimes we all need a little help when we have been or are going through traumatic times. Or we just can’t see clearly to get out of a rut.
Providing a non-judgemental, confidential support for when "life gets tough", Patsy is a person-centred counsellor, offering a safe space in which one can explore any areas of conflict within oneself, including but not exclusively:
* Depression * Bereavement and loss * Marital Problems * Self-harm * Suicidal Tendencies * Post Traumatic Stress Disorder *
* Victims of Abuse * Addiction.
Everyone's needs are different and Patsy's focus is making sure that you both work together to structure your counselling to meet your needs. You would begin with an initial session in which, you will establish what your individual needs are and the amount of sessions that may be required.
Normally these take place weekly and last for 50 minutes to an hour, however appointments can be flexible to take account of individual work and/or financial circumstances.
As a member of B.A.C.P (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Patsy is bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and subject to their professional conduct procedures. She adheres to the guidelines of client confidentiality and receives regular supervision. For more information on the B.A.C.P. and it's Codes of Conduct please visit their website: www.bacp.co.uk.
